Waterlily, Kona – Hawaii

In the center court of the luxurious Mauna Kea Resort, north along the Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway of the Big Island, there is a water feature with  simple waterlilies.  The black around the flower seems to enhance the glowing white flower.  It gives a sense of stillness that justaposes the milling groups of visitors.
