Card – Blue Jacaranda

Jacaranda (Jacaranda acutifolia) is a flowering tree that attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. The trees produce clusters of fragrant purple/blue panicle-shaped blooms that host insects that are a food supply for insectivorous birds such as finches.  These trees resemble large bouquets of blue flowers soar above buildings high into the sky.  The average lifespan of a jacaranda tree is 50 years old, and in a happy warm environment, it can live up to 200 years.
