Double Doors – Custom Tapestry 46 inches  X 34.5 inches

 This photo was created for an assignment with Technical Safety BC.  They are the company that regulates the safety for things like elevators, ski lifts, sky trains, CP trains and more.  The designer, Jim Toy of False Creek Design Group,  wanted an image in the style of Italian Futurist, for the Boardroom.  The final image are 8 feet by 8 feet doors which open in the middle to reveal the Media Center in the middle of the room.  The colors coordinate with the color décor of the chairs and tiles in the room.

Of course, the image also had to incorporate all the subjects of their mandate.  When considering creating a tapestry, I chose this image as I wanted to further explore the shapes, colors, and texture on a new medium.  This custom tapestry is approximately 65% cotton & 35% polyester. It is lined with a natural color fabric and a 4 inch rod pocket.  Custom weaved from a family owned weaving business in North Carolina.
