Pine Cones on Forest Floor- Yellowknife, Yukon

We were renting a house outside of Yellowknife.  That morning walk in the forest in the back was enlightening.  This area had short shrubs and  barren brown grasses.  Yet when I turned my camera down to the forest floor the medley and colors of the growth and remains of the trees created fascinating and harmonic patterns.
